The honest name in Lexington pest control
Blue Jays is new. The experience behind it is not. Meet the veteran, Master Termite Technician, and Lexington native who runs it.
Ten years in the trade, one promise
Blue Jays Pest Solutions was founded in 2026 by Nicholas Kirchner, but the story starts long before that. A Lexington native and Lexington High School graduate, Nick served in the U.S. Army before starting at the bottom of the pest control trade and working his way up over more than ten years, from route technician to field sales, training, and management, all the way to technical director.
Climbing the ranks taught him something that stuck: the bigger a company gets, the easier it is to lose sight of the two things that matter most, its customers and its people. He started Blue Jays to build a real, growing business that never loses that focus.
“I’m looking to create an organization that’s going to be honest with not only the customers, but with the employees themselves.” Nicholas Kirchner, Founder
Nick named the company after the blue jay for a reason. They are one of nature’s own pest controllers: bold with pests, never a threat to people.
Blue jays hunt caterpillars, grasshoppers, crickets, and spiders, and
will even take apart a small wasp nest to reach the larvae inside.
That is the balance we aim for, and the credentials below are how we
